Terms & Conditions

All orders placed are subject to the below terms & conditions. Please read these terms thoroughly. 

Cancellations

CANCELLATION: Please understand I am a small family business with a busy schedule. I ask that you provide me with at least 7 days notice for cancellations. I am unable to offer refunds on deposits as your order preparation begins as soon as you pay your deposit. (This includes purchasing of ingredients etc). We respect your time, please respect ours.

NO-SHOW: If you are unable to collect your order & do not contact me to arrange a new pick up time/date, your order will be forfitted 24 hours after the agreed collection time. This is not refundable, & not transferrable to a new date. Please contact me if you need to change your collection time so I can arrange a new suitable time for you.

Complaints & Refunds

Any complaints regarding your cake must be made directly to me (Owner - Jessica Santos) in writing via email, messenger or another form of written contact within 7 days of your order collection date. Please describe the issue you are experiencing in detail, and provide any photos you can. Butter Me Up Cakes & Gifts Ltd will require the cake in question to be returned uneaten within 3 days of event so that I am able to investigate your complaint fully and refund you where applicable. Please note if you are unable to produce the uneaten cake a full refund will not be given.

I back my cakes 100%, and will happily provide a refund on your order if I feel there is sufficient reason to do so.

Refunds to due unforeseen circumstances such as natural events etc will be decided on a case by case basis.

Transporting your cake

As an experienced baker, I will always build cakes to travel; chilled in a box with dowelling for supports. Instructions for transporting your cake can be found on the "Cake Care" page of my website and I highly recommend reading through these instructions carefully to ensure the best cake for your upcoming event. Butter Me Up Cakes & Gifts Ltd is not responsible for any damage to the cake after pick up or delivery. Once your cake has left the Butter Me Up Cakes kitchen, it is your responsibility to care for your cake as per the cake care instructions referenced above. All two tier cakes will be delivered.

Custom cake toppers

I will either hand-make or outsource custom toppers for individual cakes at my own discretion. As such, I require at least 2 weeks notice for cakes requiring custom toppers - All toppers are included in your quote, and any toppers requiring extra payment will be agreed on and paid for prior to Butter Me Up Cakes & Gifts Ltd outsourcing them. 

Photographs & socials

I reserve the right to take and use photos and videos of my work to share on my social media pages as well as on my website and for advertising purposes. I will endeavour not to share these photos prior to your event. If you wish for your order to not be shared, please let me know at the time of ordering by emailing me at jessicasantos613@gmail.com. I will never share images of people without their prior consent.

All orders require a 50% deposit to secure your order date. Deposits are non-refundable as your order preparation begins as soon as you pay your deposit. (This includes purchasing of ingredients, outsourcing toppers, etc). Payments are to be made in full at least 3 days prior to your collection date.
